The COVID 19 pandemic has affected every aspect of life across the world, but it has had a greater impact on countries like India, where food poverty, lack of basic health care and education are already stretched.

Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES) since 2000, has been improving the lives of girls and women in over 120 villages of the Anupshahar Tehsil, from the Bulandshahar District, Uttar Pradesh,  which is one of the most difficult districts to operate in, in India. PPES aims to empower girls and women from the poorest sections of society by focusing on improving their quality of life.

They provide free education for girls and job opportunities for women, thereby creating a new generation of self-reliant and educated women who are capable of breaking the cycle of poverty in the region. We currently have over 2000 girls in the school providing academic education and work with over 5000 women in our Self Help Groups providing employment opportunities and practical education to help them to reach their full potential.

Responsenet

Responsenet with the support of partners works across India to alleviating poverty and hunger, helping children thrive and go to school & help them reach their full potential, and in providing holistic development of individuals and communities at large. We have touched the lives of millions across India and maximised social return on investment in our partnerships with corporations from various sectors. Responsenet is currently implementing projects across India at in 23 states & 3 union territories, Responsenet ensured:

  • Access to better nutrition, and education.
  • Access to improved WASH facilities.
  • Timely relief at times of emergencies.
  • Improved livelihood and living conditions.
  • Better healthcare and other humanitarian services.

Delhi Expat Cricket Club

The Delhi Expat Cricket Club grew from the unbridled passion India has for the game of cricket and a few beers during an early summer’s evening in Delhi. The DEXCC has gathered players from all realms – from high commissions and embassies, to foreign press, local business and industry. The club’s founding principles are camaraderie and competition and we aim to build not just a cricket team, but a club that is part of the fabric of Delhi’s diverse expatriate community welcoming players, friends and families alike.

Australian High Commission Cricket Club

The Australian High Commission team is made up of diplomats and locally employed staff, who appreciate the opportunity to relive a bit of stress of the working week at the weekends with friendly games against various opponents. It is a great opportunity for new diplomatic arrivals to develop friendships, experience and learn about the culture of the vibrant city and country that they have been posted to.

British High Commission Cricket Club

The British High Commission team, also known as the BHC lions is similar to the Australian team, they are made up of diplomats and locally employed staff, who appreciate the opportunity to relive a bit of stress of the working week at the weekends with friendly games against various opponents. It is a great opportunity for new diplomatic arrivals to develop friendships, experience and learn about the culture of the vibrant city and country that they have been posted to.

Roshanara Cricket Club

The club is considered as the birthplace of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).  Post-Independence cricket administrators gathered in front of an old fireplace and bowed the seeds of the Indian cricket body- BCCI thereafter.  In fact, cricket at Roshanara is a symbol of clubs attempt to preserve its rich historical past while evolving with the times to meet and surpass the expectations of the present day members. Also, the newly installed floodlights at the cricket ground are a sign of progress and change.
