About Pardada Pardadi Educational Society: PPES was founded by Virendra (Sam) Singh, retired President and Managing Director of DuPont South Asia. Sam grew up in Anupshahr and moved to the US to pursue a successful corporate career. The internal calling to uplift his childhood community brought him back to his native village.

Founded in the year 2000, PPES has been working for holistic rural development through social and economic empowerment of women and girls in Western Uttar Pradesh. PPES provides free education, job opportunities, healthcare, and livelihood enhancement for girls and women from the marginalized sections of society and enables them to break out of the cycle of poverty.To address the issue of equality and rights for women, PPES set up a Community Development Division (CDD). Via the CDD, PPES ensures the economic empowerment of these women by enhancing their livelihoods and creating saving and inter-loaning options, at the same time ensuring social empowerment through eradicating discrimination

Thematic Expert: Agriculture based Livelihood

Qualification– Preferred MSW/MBA (RD)/ MA/Msc (Sociology/ Agriculture) any post graduate may also apply

Work experience– Minimum 7 years, Work experience with livelihood enhancement trough livestock and enterprises development is compulsory

Computer knowledge- excellent with MS Office

Must have competencies-

-Knowledge of participatory community approaches

-Excellent presentation, public speaking and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

Ø  Training of field team and targeted farmers on agriculture,

Ø  Ensuring INM/IPM of the targeted beneficiaries,

Ø  Networking with local agriculture officers for day to day support,

Ø  Development of vegetable clusters,

Ø  Developing the market linkages
