Why the run

The Pardada Pardadi Runathon is more than just a race—it’s a movement to empower rural girls through education and opportunity. By participating, you’re helping us break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future. The 9 th edition of the RUNATHON, in collaboration with the running expert Coach Ravinder, is likely to witness participation of over 5000 persons including students from 40 schools, parents, staff, expert runners and more.

Glimpse into the Past

Since 2014, PPES has successfully organized the Rural Half-Marathon in Anupshahr annually. The unfamiliarity of girls’ participation in sports and runs by the community, underpinned the existence of a deeply patriarchal society. Mr Virendra Sam Singh, the founder of Pardada Pardadi pledged to break the gender stereotypes and taboo that forbade the girls from playing sports.
